URBACT Launches New Call for Networks

URBACT, the European Territorial Cooperation programme aiming to foster sustainable integrated urban development in cities across Europe, will launch a new call for the creation of Implementation Networks. This new call is scheduled for the 22nd of March. A launch event is also programmed for March 23rd at the Conference Centre Albert Borschette. During this event, participants will be provided with all the information about targeted beneficiaries, how to get involved in the call etc.

The meeting will be introduced by Mikel Landabaso, Director for Inclusive Growth Urban and Territorial Development, Directorate General for Regional and Urban Policy and closed by Sébastien Jallet, head of the Managining Authority of the URBACT programme.

URBACT networks are meant to improve or change local policies, share and exchange knowledge between European cities, involve citizens and relevant stakeholders in the development of local policies. They are approved through competitive calls for proposals, intended for all those key players of sustainable urban development at European, national, regional or local level. The options are either to become a Lead Partner or a Project Partner of an URBACT network.
