Do not miss the opportunity to participate in the Space4Culture conference, taking place in Matera, Italy, on the 15-16 October 2018 on the issue “Space4Culture: satellite services for historical and creative cities”!
The conference aims at discussing how satellite data can be used to safeguard our cultural heritage, create new cultural and artistic experiences, foster social inclusion, and promote access to culture and arts within and around cities.
This conference will discuss uses of satellite-based services in the following domains:
• Managing historical cities
• Safeguarding, promoting and showcasing cultural heritage
• Creating innovative artistic and cultural experiences.
The event is taking place in the run-up to the 2019 Matera European Capital for Culture celebrations and with the patronage of the UNESCO, as part of the 2018 European Year of Cultural Heritage. The conference is organised by Eurisy, the Network of European Regions Using Space Technologies (NEREUS), the Basilicata Region, the TeRN Consortium “Earth Observation and Natural Hazard Technologies" and the Italian Space Agency.
