EIP-SCC General Assembly 

The annual General Assembly of the EIP-SCC: "Towards a Joint Investment Programme for Smart Cities" will be held in Brussels, on October 12th 2017, with a clear focus on stimulating joint investment in the smart cities market, building towards a coordinated plan to make that real in the market at scale. You can still register here. Complementary Action Cluster Workshops will be held on the day before the General Assembly in Brussels, you can learn more about the workshops now.

EIP-SCC presentation in Washington at the US-UE cities partnership opportunities

For the first time, the European Union Initiatives on technology innovative solutions and transatlantic collaboration among cities and communities were presented during the 2017 Global City Team Challenge Expo last 28 August in Washington, D.C. organized by The U.S. National Institute of Standard and Technologies. EIP-SCC Manifesto on Citizen Engagement was launched during the Conference Inclusive Smart Cities: A European Manifesto on Citizen Engagement. The result of a co-creation experiment, the Manifesto was drafted with direct engagement of over 50 stakeholders that contributed to shape its contents. Read more

Cities are getting smarter when it comes to using technology as part of a daily routine. Payments for everything from rental bikes to parking meters can easily be made with the tap of apps or SMS.
