EIP-SCC General Assembly 2017
The annual General Assembly of the EIP-SCC: "Towards a Joint Investment Programme for Smart Cities" took place in Brussels, on October 12th 2017, The General Assembly was held with the purpose of shifting focus towards the scale financing of
smart city solutions through the alignment of the related perspective of cities, industries and investment sectors. Discussions also looked into building on the European Commission stimulus investment, ongoing activities and making concrete plans for the future. View a summary of the General Assembly here.
European Smart Cities gets a further boost towards collaborative action
Many of you will have enjoyed a few balmy yet hectic days in Barcelona at the Smart City EXPO World Congress last month. And perhaps also at the World Smart Cities Forum (WSCF). EIP-SCC Action Cluster Webinars
Earlier this month two of the EIP-SCC Action Clusters Citizen Focus and Sustainable Urban Mobility hosted online webinars. The Sustainable Urban Mobility webinar gave 120 participants the opportunity to hear about the cities and companies that are leading 6 actions as part of the EIP-SCC. Whilst the Citizen Focus webinar, provided more than 60 participants with the opportunity to learn about Participatory Budgeting, and specifically to understand the role of platforms in similar initiatives. The Citizen Engagement Example of Utrecht
The Action Cluster Citizen Focus conducted an interview with a representative from the city of Utrecht, to get insights on the city's achievements as well as to gather civic engagement practices to be shared across The Market Place network. Read more
