The Marketplace of the EIP on Smart Cities and Communities is committed to user privacy.
All official mail or any kind of communication sent via the Contact Form is automatically forwarded to the Marketplace of the EIP on Smart Cities and Communities secretariat and /or the appropriate consortium partner to take appropriate action.
When you register to the Marketplace of the EIP on Smart Cities and Communities in order to create a public profile, to join an Action Cluster or to enter a contribution, we save your private data in our systems and disclose publicly only the information you chose to be publicly disclosed. Please note that you can adjust in your profile settings any time what information you want to be publicly available on the site.
All personal details disclosed by registered users to this website remain fully in their control. The users can opt out of the public profile, delete or modify any of their personal details at any time through the edit tab in their respective profile settings. The Marketplace of the European Innovation Partnership on Smart Cities and Communities consortium does not copy or modify this information in any way and uses it solely for the purposes of the Marketplace of the EIP on Smart Cities and Communities, its Action Clusters and electronic newsletters.
The minimum information details we collect for the purposes of registering with a profile on the Marketplace of the EIP on Smart Cities and Communities are: full name and email. This information is collected and safely stored in order to provide the user access to the site membership, newsletter subscription, contribution of content (news, blogs, comments, city profiles, projects etc.), and membership in the Action Clusters.
All the data collected through the online user profile form will be stored safely in our database system until the end of the contract, upon completion of which the data will be passed on to the European Commission. We take high security measure to safeguard the information against possible misuse or unauthorized access. The data will be kept in a highly secured server with daily backups, only authorised personal has physical access to the server and can access the server file system via remote connection. All the passwords used will be encrypted.
Throughout the duration of the contract as well as after its completion, it is the European Commission who has the legal property of the Marketplace of the EIP on Smart Cities and Communities' website. The Legal Notice of the European Commission's web space therefore applies.
We more specifically follow Regulation (EC) No. 45/2001 of the European Parliament and of the Council of 18. December 2000 on the protection of individuals with regard to the processing of personal data by the Community which is part of the above mentioned Legal Notice.
The Marketplace of the EIP on Smart Cities and Communities never discloses personal information to third parties without prior approval. You can adjust all the information you want to be disclosed publicly in your profile settings. We do not divulge your personal data for any marketing purposes.
You can access all the information disclosed with us at any time, verify its accuracy and, if necessary, correct it. The Withdrawal of the United Kingdom from the EU on 31 January 2020
The United Kingdom will withdraw from the European Union and will be a third country as of 1 February 2020. Providing that the ratification of the Withdrawal Agreement is completed, the transition period will start at that same moment in time. During the transition period, which ends on 31 December 2020, Union law, with a few limited exceptions, continues to be applicable to and in the United Kingdom.
The Commission is in the process of updating some of the content on this website in light of the withdrawal of the United Kingdom from the European Union. If the site contains content that does not yet reflect the withdrawal of the United Kingdom, it is unintentional and will be addressed.
